Recognition!

Yesterday, at Mark's softball game, I talked to one of his friend's wives. We don't see each other very often - only when she goes to the games (which isn't very often). So I haven't seen her in awhile.

She noticed my weight loss! She said, "Have you been losing weight?" and I told her I had and she said, "skinny minnie!" Yeah!! That was a boost! It's been so long since I've "lost" weight that I'm starting to feel the same about myself as I did 27 pounds ago. Even though I know I'm not back up to that weight. I know that I need to keep losing.

We've been so busy that I haven't had time to exercise. Between going to the hospital (or planning to go and then not) and softball and stuff, it's just been crazy. (though, I did drag my tushie out to the gym on Tuesday). I'm supposed to run for 86 minutes this weekend. I'm not sure I'm up to it.

Pick a Weigh in

I need to find a new meeting (they canceled my old meeting and moved it up to 4:30 - hi! people have jobs!) or I need to pick a set day/time to weigh in. Yesterday I weighed myself in the a.m. - and posted it to the blog. Today, I weighed myself in the a.m. (because I felt like I couldn't have gained that much) and I only weigh 201. (THREE POUND DIFFERENCE!)

Dare I tell you why? This is so oversharing, but, whatever. When I'm on vacation (read: camping) my system gets a little screwy and I am not as "regular" as I usually am. I think that played into it because yesterday was when I really got back to normal. I'll leave the stats the same though because hey! then it will show a bigger loss next week, right? hehe.

I'm hoping we will get around to grocery shopping this weekend because right now we're eating whatever we find in the house. It's been hectic and we had lots of camping leftovers. I am CRAVING broccoli and grilled chicken though. I NEED it.

Carrie, I know you are making WW recipes - are you getting them from the website or from a cookbook? I am such a picky eater, I'm having a really hard time finding recipes that I'll eat.

My Journey So Far

On December 26, 2006, I started Weight Watchers. I was able to lose 8 pounds my first week for a total of 25 pounds in the first two months. I stopped going to the meetings in April after losing 30 pounds total. I've gained about 7 back.

I loved the changes I saw after I lost the weight. My midsection was a lot smaller and tighter. (thank you gym membership!) My energy level was up and I liked going to the gym. I want to get back to those good feelings.

So, I'm making the commitment again. I'm going to start going to the weight watchers meetings again and I'm going to stick to the program. I'm going to continue my half marathon training program and working out on the elliptical on my off days. I'm going to set smaller goals and I'm going to exceed them!
